hi all.
i’m not sure if anyone else has watched any "nooma" productions. i watched one at home group last night called "Rain" and it was unlike anything i’ve seen before. check out their site at http://www.nooma.com because for me, given that it can be tricky to articulate exactly what emergent is, i think that nooma have created something emergent - a piece of media that really touched me and is credible and feisty enough to show my non-christian friends.
check them out & go well meantime.

Re: LOST - penquins in the tropics
We’ve used the Nooma videos in our small group and received very positive response. In fact the DVD immediately went out on loan to show unbelieving friends.
There is a wonderful program on American television right now. The basic premise is a plane crash on a mysterious island. The show is packed full of stories of personal redemption and the redemption of the community as a whole (nod to Andrew). There is also a building tension and cooperation between the "man of faith" and "the man of science." It’s brilliant and popular enough that you can use it in conversations with people who would never come to "church" in any form.

Speaking of Noomas....I stumbled across a great site
I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! I cannot begin to express how great NOOMA Rob Bell and Nooma DVDs are.
Anyways, I’ll stop rambling…I found a huge guide to what Nooma DVDs are. The website it www.christianbooksbibles.com. It looks like you can buy them there too for like $8.50 which is the lowest i’ve found…
anyways, go to www.christianbooksbibles.com/noomaindex.htm and you will find the guide.
