The Future of the People of God

Material in this ‘book’ relates to the Future of the People of God conference (July 2004) with Tom Wright. It includes a synopsis of his multi-volume work Christian Origins and the Question of God, and papers from other writers which we hope will help contextualize our thinking and stimulate discussion:

  • a chapter from Stuart Murray’s recent book Post-Christendom: Church and Mission in a Strange New World, published with permission; 
  • a paper by Jim Thwaites on church and creation, which is a good example of an exploration outwards from the starting point of Tom Wright’s recovery of an authentically Christian worldview and his insistence that God’s solution to the problem of humanity’s rebellion has implications for the whole of creation;
