I think your estimate of the narrow bounds of the site’s rules of engagement is also a little lacking in realism: your opinion’s are welcome here and will be taken seriously (sooner or later.)

Of course, not everyone is equally prepared to indulge evangelical heresy (or heretics) in the pursuit of “truth and understanding,” and, if you want to go right back to the early church to posit your theory of where the rest of us went so wrong, you can hardly expect everyone to be ready to sit at your feet right away!

So, come on Albannach, take that chip off your shoulder and admit it: you rather enjoy your role as provocateur general - unless I’ve misunderstood you completely?
