i too find that these 7 things make it hard for me to believe in traditional christianity. and while many other’s comments have attempted to answer questions and waylay concerns, even scripture or personal experience does not seem to fully relieve the strain of those seven things. in the end i find that i too rest in your two statements of belief.

and i think that no one else can really believe much more. not honestly. much more religion can be built upon it, surely, but what else is there to believe and the very base?
