Wouldn't it be a great repres

Wouldn’t it be a great representation of the church if a couple of hundred Christians from all over just showed up on the island to help? No fan fare, no press, and not "We need to stamp Jesus all over what we do."

I like that. I like it alot!

Recently at uni we’ve been talking about ‘Social Action Evangelism’ and is it really such a good thing. There are also some thoughts on it at http://www.sundaypapers.org.uk/?p=125 . I love the idea of just going out there and helping just becuause it’s a good humanitarian response, not coz we have to help then use it as an excuse to prosletyse what we see as ‘the right way’.

The thing is, Jesus is already stamped all over what we would be doing with that, coz it’s His character. Doesn’t He say, "What you do for the least of these you do for me." I think it’s rather not stamping the name of ‘evangelism’ all over what we are doing.
